Join us for our incredibly special online and interactive Careers and Progression Fair brought to you by the Venn Group colleges – Franklin Sixth Form College, John Leggott College, Wilberforce College, Wyke Sixth Form College and Scarborough Sixth Form. The event will feature local employers and universities from across the UK as well as ten webinars on essential topics such as Degree Apprenticeships, Careers in Law and Medicine, University offers and many more.

We have designed an amazing online experience to allow you to explore a huge range of post-18 options. This incredible event will enable you to visit exhibition stands and chat to representatives, view information and videos, download information and take part in webinars in the virtual auditorium.

The event is completely free of charge to students, parents and teachers. This fair is designed to provide you with everything you need to make the right decisions. We look forward to welcoming you to the event.

Careers and Progression Evening is designed for Year 11, 12 and 13 students and their parents. We recommend attending if you are currently in Year 13, as this event will help you decide upon your progression choices. If you are in Year 12 or 11, our event will aid you in your exploration of all the fantastic options available to you when you finish Sixth Form or College.
You will need to register for Careers and Progression Evening to be able to login. Please complete a registration form on the homepage. You will then be able to login to the event from 16:00 on Thursday, 25th March. You can continue to login to the event at any time until Sunday, 24th April, but you won’t be able to chat to representatives.
The event will be live from 16:00 - 19:00 on Thursday, 25th March, when live chats will be available with employers and university representatives, and we will be showing webinars. You can continue to login to the event at any time until Sunday, 24th April, but you won’t be able to chat to representatives. You can still visit stands, download documents, view information and view the recorded webinars in the auditorium during this time. The event will close on Sunday, 24th April.
Yes, there’s no limit on the number of times you can login to the Careers and Progression Evening. You can visit the event multiple times during the live period from 16:00 - 19:00 on Thursday, 25th March if you’re only free for short periods of time, and come back another day (until Sunday, 24th April) to gather more information or catch recorded webinars if you wish. You’ll just need to use the Login button at the top-right of your screen to re-enter the fair.
Yes, you will be able to login to Careers and Progression Evening at any time until Sunday, 24th April. You will only be able to live chat with representatives and view live webinars from 16:00 - 19:00 on Thursday, 25th March, but you will still be able to access everything else, and view the recorded webinars, after this.
The event has two main rooms, an Exhibition Hall and an Auditorium. In the Exhibition Hall, you can visit stands for different universities and colleges. At each stand, you can view information about the exhibitor, download documents, view videos, visit their website, and talk to their representatives live to receive answers to any questions you have. In the Auditorium, you can view webinars on a range of subjects from our exhibitors. To see the webinar timetable, please click “Event Timetable” at the top of this page. Whilst viewing a webinar, you can ask questions in the chat and receive answers directly from the exhibitor. All webinars will be recorded, so if you miss one you can view the recording in the Auditorium too.
There is no limit on the amount of time you can spend at the event, and you can continue to log in at any time until Sunday, 24th April if you feel you need more information from any of the exhibition stands, or you would like to view the recorded webinars again.
Every exhibition stand will have representatives available for you to chat to between 16:00 and 19:00 on Thursday, 25th March. You can also ask our webinar presenters questions in the chat during their session. Please note that you will only be able to chat to exhibitors from 16:00 to 19:00 on Thursday, 25th March when the event is live, this will not be available afterwards.
You can download documents from any employer or university by clicking the “Document” tab on their stand in the Exhibition Hall. You can then choose from a list of documents that the exhibitor has uploaded. By clicking “Download” your chosen document(s) will be added to your Virtual Bag, and you can download all of these at once when you choose to leave the fair.
You do not need to book our webinars to view them. You can view them in the auditorium on Thursday, 25th March or watch the recorded versions until Sunday, 24th April.
A webcam is not required at any point during the event. The webinars in the Auditorium are one-way, so you do not need a webcam or a microphone to view these.
